Tips to Use Depilatory Creams

Depilatory cream is a chemical hair removal product which dissolves the keratin in any hair shaft and removes the hair at or below the surface of the skin. It works well for fine and light colored hair. It can be considered as a quick way to tidy up bikini line as it can clear large areas of hair in a short period. It is better than shaving because its result stays longer than shaving.

Below are the step by step guides for using the cream to achieve optimum result.

1. Read the instructions carefully. In general, there is a maximum length of time stated on the package of the product. Take note about it and make sure you don't exceed the time limit.

2. Take hot shower to clean the skin and open the follicles, especially the areas that you want to remove the hair.

3. Test the cream on your forearm to make sure that you do not have skin irritation or allergic reaction to the cream.

4. Apply the cream to the parts of body where the hair needs to be removed and follow the time recommendation.

5. In order to remove the cream, rinse the particular parts by using a wash cloth in downward strokes. This extra pressure will help to clear more hair.

6. Take shower again to remove the hair as well as the cream.

Here are some reminders:

1. Do not apply any depilatory cream near any skin break or injury.

2. Select the right cream if you want to remove facial hair. Do not simply use any cream as it may hurt your eyes.

3. The outcome for coarse and dark hair may not be satisfactory.

4. The smell of the cream may not be tolerable by anyone.

Depilatory cream is used for short term hair removal. If you want a permanent hair removal method, then you may look for laser treatment. The cost of the treatment is much expensive than this chemical cream.
