The Best Method of Permanent Hair Removal

For those with undesirable and unwanted hair, or those who just want to get rid of excess hair at certain regions of the body, they can find a solution with various permanent hair removal products and tips. Maybe it's because they don't want to shave constantly or are fed up with itchy and annoying hair. Permanent hair removal is their best bet to rid that annoyance. However, truly permanently removing hair can be elusive or even impossible to attain. So what exactly are the best ways to remove unwanted hair all over the body?

Laser Hair Removal

Over the past 15 years or so, laser hair removal has become a very popular method of getting rid of problem hair. It's not a magic bullet though since it does require a couple of sessions to remove hair from parts of the body. The number and duration of sessions can also depend on many factors such as hair coloration, hair density and hair thickness.

Side effects to laser hair therapy also exists. They often range from minor discomfort like inflammation of the skin and rashes forming to more severe effects with severe burning and scarring on the top skin layers. Side effects d do differ for each person. So it's best to first choose your hair removal clinic wisely and carefully. Consult the doctor and hair specialist if you're experiencing severe side effects after the first several treatment sessions. Also consider the total costs involved for these treatments and visits.

Intense Pulse Light treatments

Intense Pulsed Light treatments or IPL are similar to laser in getting rid of unwanted hair, although it is cheaper and requires less sessions to the doctor's and hair care specialist's visits. Therefore IPL has become quite popular recently. Intense pulsed light is less destructive to skin surrounding the hair, so side effects are less severe. But IPL treatment only remains effective for permanent hair removal for about a year. Laser hair removal treatments would be a better alternative in many cases for most people.

There are also a variety of prescribed and over-the-counter hair permanent removal products for removing excess hair throughout the body. There are popular creams and lotions available on the skin care market. Go to your local skin care store or skin care boutique and browse around for options on these products. Check with your hair specialist to see what they recommended. Some will work immediately for results while some will not. Not all products are suitable for everyone, despite them being clinically tested in trials. In most cases, you will also be using additional products with your treatments. Overall, the best method for permanent hair removal depends on the individual and what they each respond best.
