First off, use the products specified for your hair type. A shampoo made for curly hair will do nothing when your hair is as straight as a ruler.
The second thing to do is get a trim every 6 to 8 weeks. What this will do is stop your hair from getting split ends while you maintain your fabulous haircut.
Third tip is shampoo your hair only when it is dirty. Many people do it everyday and it's very bad especially if you are trying to maintain your hair's natural balance.
The fourth is sticking to one professional that is in charge of your crowning glory, your hair. Just like a doctor, you want someone who knows your history and has been with you through both the good time and bad.
Fifth tip deals with the treatments we make our hair undergo. If you decide to get a hair spa then that's what you're all going to get so as the fourth tip specifies, talk with your hair dresser to further expand your knowledge on this.
The sixth and last tip deals with combing. While your hair is wet, opt for a wide tooth comb to prevent hair breakage. Remember that brushes should only be used when the hair is barely wet. Hope that these tips work for you as much as they did for me.
