My take on this most curious pelt is that a good hereditary or genetic strength is important.
If you are blessed with hair that 'stands out' - take care of it - feed it well and expose it to the elements.
If you are building a resistance to a tide of 'thinning and falling out' of hair - then take even better care of your self - your hair will follow suit.
The first 3 techniques for stronger and healthier hair my mom taught me:
- while standing behind the couch brushing her hair
- having her rinse my head with a jug of cold water after the 'always eventful hair wash' and
- being sent outside to 'dry off with a rough toweling.'
1. Pulling - running the finger through the hair with an open hand, grabbing a fistful of hair and gently closing and pulling - stimulating the scalp, strengthening the roots and assisting in the vital circulation to the scalp.
2. Make the final rinse - after the shampoo and rinse - one of cool to cold water - it will assist in bringing blood back to the surface of the scalp.
3. When washing the hair - use pure water and a shampoo free from chemicals - dry the hair in the sunlight - constantly massaging the scalp in the drying process.
#4 and #5 are symptomenous - they can be altered | changed through lifestyle considerations.
4. If you like healthy hair - don't smoke - they don't go together.
5. Dandruff may be an indication that one's diet contains a high concentration of starch - breads, potatoes, rice, pastas, and bananas.
All the best in improving your crowning glory
