Say No to Split Ends - Get Healthy, Shiny Hair Without Cutting It!

Damaged ends are something that every woman has to deal with as they grow their hair, and it can be a daunting task to try to keep your locks looking shiny and healthy without taking a trip to the salon. The obvious way to reduce split ends would be to simply cut them off, but if you want to grow your strands long, cutting it is usually not an option.

Over the years, there are a lot of products that I have tried in order to keep my locks looking beautiful, and the best results have always been from using moisturizing or hydrating shampoos and conditioners. If you use a moisturizing shampoo along with a hydrating conditioner when you shower, then this should reduce your chances of getting split ends. Using any products specially made to lock in moisture will make your hair look hydrated, reduce dryness, and increase softness.

Some companies also offer a deep hydrating treatment that you can put on your locks for three minutes or so, and rinse out. This will protect your strands from heat damage, and maintain a healthy looking hairstyle. I make sure to use a one of these treatments once or twice a month, and that always keeps my strands looking and feeling wonderful.

You don't have to just stick to one brand of styling products as well. It will actually benefit your hair to rotate the specific shampoo and conditioner because it will decrease any buildup, or dandruff that can develop from using the same shampoo repeatedly. Rotating brands may also help with preventing the harsh look of split ends as well.

By using moisturizing shampoos and conditioners, I only have to cut my strands once or twice a year, and am always receiving compliments on how great my hair looks. Give it a try, and you might be surprised by the dramatic change in your style!
